A woman, a man, a cat and three gun shots. Working from photographs, notebooks, tapes and memories, Laura Bondarevsky pieces together a historical reconstruction that travels across several worlds — from the political fervour of Latin America in the late sixties to the frozen landscapes of the far south — in an attempt to understand, and perhaps change, our own. Winner of the Audience Award at the Uruguay International Film Festival and Best International Feature Film at the International Human Rights Film Festival, among many other honours.
Director — Laura Bondarevsky
Laura Bondarevsky is a film director from Argentina. She graduated from the Instituto de Artes Cinematográficas de Avellaneda and has worked in the film industry since 2000, assisting renowned directors such as Juan José Campanella, Fernando Meirelles, Fernando Trueba and Bruno Stagnaro. She received a Milo Corter scholarship for documentary research, worked as assistant director and screenwriter for the Universidad Federal de Bahia (Brazil) on the short film series "Música en América Latina", and was selected by the Comité de la Facultade de Cinema e Audiovisual de Rio de Janeiro to lead a documentary research and writing workshop. Her films as writer-director include "Panzas" and "Chevocachai", selected at numerous international festivals. Her first fiction project, "Río Muerto", won the Opera Prima prize from INCAA (Argentina) and goes into production in 2028.
