At first, Cafer feels fortunate not to breathe in the foul odour spreading through the apartment building. But he soon begins to feel alienated and increasingly isolated from neighbours whose lives have become unbearable. In this darkly comic tale, Cafer will do whatever it takes to smell the stench. His only wish is to lay his head on his pillow at night and struggle to sleep because of that terrible smell — just to be like everyone else. Written and directed by Emre Cef Kamhi. Emre Cef Kamhi is a screenwriter and director from Türkiye. He graduated from the Cinema and Television department at Istanbul Bilgi University, working as an assistant director on films, television series and commercials while studying. His short film Apotemnophilia screened at festivals in 2023, and Actually, Everyone is his latest short fiction film, produced by Lumanes Film.
