Poster for Blackmoll

A seven-year-old girl sets out to justify the mysterious world of her dementia-suffering grandmother.

Karla is a crafty second grader who loves drawing, her best friend Nele and, most of all, spending time with her grandmother — who keeps mixing up dates and seeing things that do not exist. Despite her young age, Karla understands what everyone around her does not: her grandmother's perception may be different, but it is no less real. A tender family drama about dementia, imagination and the stubborn loyalty of a child.
