A festival born from the Lycian Way

LikyaFF is shaped by the landscape it lives in. The Lycian Way — Türkiye's first long-distance hiking trail — stretches more than 500 kilometres along the Mediterranean coast, past Hellenistic ruins, mountain villages, and pine forests sloping into the sea. Its rhythm is one of movement, of crossing thresholds, of carrying stories from one place to the next. That rhythm is the festival's compass.

We program films that explore journey in its widest sense: physical migration and inner change, communities on the move, lives lived with the land, athletes and adventurers, and the heritage that survives when people pass through. The 2026 edition continues that conversation with new voices from Türkiye and around the world.

Antalya as the festival's home

Antalya is where the Lycian Way begins and ends. It is also a city of layered heritage — Hellenistic, Roman, Seljuk, Ottoman — folded into a modern Mediterranean capital. LikyaFF programs the city as part of the festival itself: most screenings take place at Antalya Kültür Sanat (AKM) in Muratpaşa, with selected open-air evenings at heritage sites along the coast.

Audiences travel between cinemas, ancient ruins, and the sea over three days — a small echo of the route itself.
